Carnegie Mellon University Qatar is one of my dream universities and accomplished schools. On March 30th, while I was interning at Kazakhstan National University Al-Farabi, I heard that CMU-Q will release admission decisions on April 1st. As someone who has been rejected many times, I thought this was another rejection. On April 1, the decision was given at 22:00. Before I opened the portal, I saw in the Telegram group that many people had been rejected, and I was sure that I would also be rejected. When I opened the portal and clicked the update button, a video appeared with the admissions director saying “Congratulations, you made it!”. Even now, as I write this article, I remember the shock. I was so excited and even checked myself a few times to make sure it was real and not a dream.
