This is a partial scholarship awarded each semester to students covering the cost of three credit hours of instruction in a degree program at AUC. Students must demonstrate financial need and be of clean conduct and academic integrity in the previous semester. This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in Middle Eastern Studies, Political Science, or History courses at AUC. Applicants do not need to major in Middle Eastern Studies. It is initially awarded for one semester and may be renewed for a second semester based on academic progress. It can be used to cover tuition and/or AUC housing. Awards range from $2,500 to $5,000 per student.

Not All Auc Students Are Rich
These scholarships are merit-based awards for US students who study abroad at AUC for at least one full semester or participate in the Arabic Language Intensive Summer (ALIS) program. Awards for semester study range from $2,500 to $5,000 per student, and awards for the ALIS program range from $2,000 per student. These scholarships can be used to cover the cost of tuition, on-campus housing, or a stipend (such as flights, visa or insurance, books, supplies, meals, etc.).
These scholarships provide one semester of support to outstanding U.S. undergraduate students in any discipline who are committed to using their AUC experience to promote greater understanding and relations between Egypt and the United States.
As AUC is an access partner of the Foundation for Education Abroad (FEA), applicants to AUC’s undergraduate studies abroad are eligible to apply for AUC Access Partner scholarships through FEA. Awards can be up to $1,250 for summer programs, $5,000 for semester programs, and $10,000 for academic year programs. For more information and to apply for an AUC Access Partner Scholarship, visit the Overseas Education Fund website. In fall 2019, AUC continues to offer a variety of scholarships for public school students, including a new scholarship, the Attijariwafa Bank Public School Scholarship. Defects. One of AUC’s most successful scholarship programs is the Public School Scholarship Fund (PSSF), which annually offers full tuition scholarships to 20 public school students to study at AUC. Since its founding in 1990, PSSF has graduated more than 390 students, with more than 75 percent graduating with honors. PSSF beneficiaries are Egyptian students from various governorates including Cairo, Fayoum, Zagasig, Beni Souf and Shebin El Kom.
“I cannot overstate the value of these scholarships,” said Amr Usman 00, a political science graduate and AUC Public School Scholarship recipient who is now an associate professor of history at Qatar University. Originally from Tanta, Osman holds an MA in History from the University of St. Andrews and a PhD in Middle Eastern Studies from Princeton University. “I don’t know how my life would have turned out differently if I hadn’t received the scholarship.
